BAR APE [pronounced "ah pay"] takes traditional authentic approaches to gelato making and applies them differently. It started with a tiny Piaggio Ape truck which had no room to serve gelato the way it is typically sold; that being, scooped into a cup or cone. The result: a mobile gelato bar that serves hand-crafted gelato bars. Since then, Bar Ape has expanded to a tiny shop: a workshop with a serving window. A bit more space led to an extended menu.
