BAR APE [pronounced "ah pay"] takes traditional authentic approaches to gelato making and applies them differently.  It started with a tiny Piaggio Ape truck which had no room to serve gelato the way it is typically sold; that being, scooped into a cup or cone.  The result: a mobile gelato bar that serves hand-crafted gelato bars.  Since then, Bar Ape has expanded to a tiny shop: a workshop with a serving window.  A bit more space led to a brand new product - gelato soft-serve.    

Our mission: To make the best possible product without any compromise.  Although we may be considered a small niche, we are far from being narrow minded.  We take authentic italian traditions and apply them differently;  always experimenting, always creating, always taking inspiration from other cultures.
